I had never heard of candlepin bowling. Looks safer than the bowling I know.
Back in high school we would bowl in the lanes next door to the Center Theater (did you bowl with us, Colleen?). One night I smashed the ball into my ankle as I was rolling the ball. We went bowling again about a week later and I did the same stupid thing. My ankle hurt for many weeks.
Chuck, Candlepin bowling balls are small enough to hold comfortably in your hand. I remember the old bowling alley, but I don't remember having my hand in one of the old bowling balls.
